Green Kids launches exclusively in John Lewis
Green Baby, the multi-award winning, eco childrenswear brand, is to launch a new collection for two to eight year olds exclusively through John Lewis in March:
Green Kids will be available in six John Lewis stores, JohnLewis.com and GreenBaby.com from March 14th.
The company originally launched in 1999, and was created with the intention of providing real nappies to parents that cared about the environment as well as the products that came to contact with their kids. Green Baby has established itself as the leading baby company that is exclusively focused on producing market leading products in an eco-friendly and ethically responsible way.
The new collection, Green Kids, carries all the hallmarks of the main range: 100% certified organic cotton; quirky prints and appliqués; as well as strong use of colour. But it also shows an older sensibility in both the graphic styles and the more fashionable shapes.
For girls, Green Kids delivers a collection in spots, stripes and hand-drawn florals. Simple summer separates with frilled sleeves and gathered necklines sit alongside smocked sundresses and pull-on jumpsuits.
For boys, graphic prints are inspired by the sea, with carton lobsters and walruses, chunky bright stripes and ‘rough and tumble’ grey marl.
Green Kids will be available in the following John Lewis stores: Oxford Street, Peter Jones (Sloane Square), Bluewater, Kingston, Cheadle Hulme and Edinburgh as well as online at johnlewis.com.
Sari Cavanna, CEO of Green Baby, comments: “Our aim is to offer accessible, ethical fashion for kids. This new range is made from 100% organic cotton and looks great but it is still great value for money.”
Prices include: £26 for boys’ hoodies, £12 for vest tops, £16 for frilled skirts and £22 for girls’ jumpsuits.
Green Kids is GOTS certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Green Baby won the Prima Baby 2010 award, for best eco range - winning for the second year running.
